Pradip Datta

Pradip Datta Pradip Datta, PhD, DABCC is board-certified (Diplomat) clinical chemist with research interest in TDM/Tox and immunoassay development. He has been a member of AACC over 30 years, and of CLSI over 15 years. He has served extensively in both organizations; in CLSI, he has been a member 8 subcommittees during the last 15 years, contributing chapters in their publications. On the AACC side, he has participated in many committees and educational activities, including member of editorial board for the journal CFTN. He is a member of AACC TDM & Tox Division Leadership. He has served in the Editorial Board of the Division Newsletter since 2002, and as Editor since 2014. He has contributed to the Newsletter many times. He has won Division recognition awards for presenting Short Courses and Round Tables at the AACC National Meeting under the Division sponsorship. He also has served as Chair, and other leadership positions at the PennDel section of AACC. He has also volunteered as a member in the ABCC Board and the AACC-Press Board. He has been involved at AACC in many of its functions – as educator, as volunteer, and as ACCENT program reviewer. Dr Datta received his PhD in Biochemistry from Yale University. He received his Clinical Chemistry post-doctoral training at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He currently works as Senior Staff Scientist at Siemens Healthineer Diagnostics in Newark, DE. At Siemens (and its predecessor, Bayer/Chiron/Ciba-Corning Diagnostics) he developed many different TDM and DAU immunoassays. His research interest is in Interference in TDM and DAU assays, with many publications as book-chapters and original papers in accredited science journals.
