Aaron Geno

K. Aaron Geno, PhD, DABCC, is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso in El Paso, Texas, where he also serves as the Director of the Microbiology for the University Medical Center laboratory. Dr. Geno completed his fellowship in clinical chemistry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, in 2020. Appropriate test utilization is emphasized in Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Clinical Chemistry fellowship, and Dr. Geno remains active in this area, recently publishing a retrospective study evaluating laboratory stewardship practices on alkaline phosphatase isoenzymes orders (available online at the Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine since August 2021) and serving as a member of the Laboratory Use Committee at TTUHSC El Paso/UMC since his arrival in November 2020.
