Zhimin Tim Cao, MD, PhD, DABCC, FAACC received his MD degree in China, and his PHD degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He followed with fellowship training in Clinical Chemistry & Toxicology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. For 21 years, Dr. Cao served at the Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, first as a research scientist, Endocrinology Section Head and Assistant Director of the Center for Endocrinology Category, later as Clinical Chemistry Laboratory Director. In 2020, Tim accepted new duties as Core/Chemistry Laboratory Director and Assistant Director of POCT at the Department of Pathology of Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He is an active and dedicated AACC member and served as a Chairman of the AACC Upstate New York Section twice in 2004 & 2018.
