The Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine, formerly the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (NACB) and AACC Academy, is the home of scientifically engaged and distinguished laboratory experts who provide the leadership and research to move the profession forward to provide better health for patients worldwide. The Academy members’ expertise across all areas of lab medicine shapes science in the field, driving innovative solutions for patient care and creating the tools to bring greater visibility to the value of laboratory medicine.
Founded in 1976 as a separately incorporated not-for-profit organization, the former NACB merged with and became the Academy of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) in 2006.
Message from 2023-2024 Academy President Dr. Allison Chambliss
Fellows of the Academy will use the designation of FAACC until a new designation is announced. This designation is equivalent to FACB, the previous designation used by fellows of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, which became the Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine in 2023.
