Dr. Reinhardt Hesse, MBChB completed his studies in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is currently a registrar undergoing specialty training in Chemical Pathology at the National Health Laboratory Service and an associate lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a member of The South African Association for Clinical Biochemistry (SAACB), The South African Heart Association (SA Heart), The Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society of Southern Africa (LASSA), and the AACC’s Clinical Chemistry Trainee Council (CCTC) and Lipoprotein and Vascular Disease Division (LVDD). His research interests include lipidology and the application of data analytics to laboratory information for data-driven support in all areas of the testing process.
