Dr. Irene De Biase is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University Of Utah School Of Medicine, and serves as Medical Director in the Biochemical Genetic laboratory at ARUP Laboratories. Dr. De Biase received her MD and PhD in cellular and molecular genetics at the Federico II University in Naples, Italy. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow in molecular genetics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and a postdoctoral fellow in clinical biochemical genetics at the Greenwood Genetics Center in South Carolina. Dr. De Biase is board certified in Clinical Biochemical Genetics. Her research interests have focused on biochemical genetic testing utilization, particularly in relation to long-term clinical outcomes.
