Siemens Healthineers has entered into a strategic relationship with Fast-track Diagnostics (FTD) to expand the range of assays available on the Siemens Healthineers Versant kPCR Molecular System, a new molecular diagnostics platform. The Versant system uses an open-channel design and Siemens’ customizable MiPLX software to reduce the need for manual labor. Under the terms of the agreement, its capabilities will expand to include FTD’s CE-marked kits and multisyndromic panels, which cover conditions ranging from childhood infections to gastroenteritis. This means that the Versant system will now feature more than 75 infectious diseases assays.
