Gabriella Lakos, MD, PhD, D(ABMLI) is Global Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs at The Binding Site, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
She started her career as a clinical pathologist and received her PhD in Immunology from the University of Debrecen, Hungary. She spent 15 years working in clinical diagnostic laboratories and gained hands-on and management experience in diagnostic immunology. Gabriella has transitioned to the medical device industry 16 years ago to use her skills and experience to improve patient’s lives through developing innovative IVD devices. Before joining The Binding Site, she has held various leadership roles in the IVD industry, most recently at Abbott Hematology. She is board certified by the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunologists and have authored >100 publications and several book chapters. Gabriella is passionate about encouraging the study, advancing the science, and improving the practice of diagnostic immunology.
