Alan Remaley

Alan RemaleyAlan T. Remaley, MD, PhD, is a Senior Investigator at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and also a Senior staff member of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD where he leads Special Chemistry section. He completed his medical training at University of Pittsburgh in 1987 and then went to the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his residency in Clinical Pathology in 1990. Since that time Dr. Remaley has been at the NIH where he is involved in both basic science and translational studies related to cardiovascular diseases. He has been a mentor to numerous trainees and a collaborator with many senior investigators from around the world on developing new treatments for cardiovascular diseases and novel methods for estimating cardiovascular risk.
