Edward Ki Yun Leung, PhD
Dr. Edward Ki Yun Leung is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California and the Director of the Core Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He completed his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University and his clinical chemistry fellowship at the University of Chicago. He is board certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and a fellow of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry. As Director of the Core Laboratory, Dr. Leung oversees Clinical Chemistry, Biochemical Genetics and Special Chemistry, Laboratory Support Services, and Point of Care Testing. His research interest includes personalized medicine, pharmacogenomics, developing mass spectrometry assays and technologies for clinical use, and laboratory quality and efficiency improvement.
