The Academy History and Archive

The Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine was founded in 1976 as the National Academy for Clinical Biochemistry. This history section is a repository of documents and recorded memories on the history of the Academy. Members are invited to send such documents or other mementos to [email protected]. This section also includes a link to Laboratory Medicine Practice Guidelines that are more than five years old.

Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine Designation

Fellows of the Academy use the designation of FADLM. This designation is equivalent to FACB and FAACC, the previous designations used by fellows of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and AACC Academy. Those groups were rebranded as Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine in 2023.
