Through an annual awards program, the Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine recognizes achievements among our fellows who have made significant contributions to the field of laboratory medicine.

Distinguished Abstracts

In addition to recognizing major contributions to laboratory medicine through the the Academy awards, the Academy also recognizes exceptional scientific abstracts in the field. Each year, a group of Academy fellows reviews the abstracts submitted to the the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo and selects several for distinction.

Events

Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine Designation

Fellows of the Academy use the designation of FADLM. This designation is equivalent to FACB and FAACC, the previous designations used by fellows of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and AACC Academy. Those groups were rebranded as Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine in 2023.
