Mass Spectrometry and Separation Sciences Division

MS3 Division Logo

The mission of the Mass Spectrometry and Separation Sciences Division is to further integrate these technologies with laboratory medicine and patient care. We strive to fulfill this mission by collaborating with the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) groups and other professional organizations; developing and promoting educational opportunities; and disseminating resources relevant to our mission Specific objectives include:

Serve the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) and its members by serving as a leading resource in the areas of mass spectrometry, chromatography and other advanced separation sciences, and also in the application of these techniques in laboratory medicine.

Explore strategies for eliminating barriers to the advancement of research methods, novel diagnostic separations, and mass spectrometry assays into the clinical environment and into the hands of certified lab professionals in accredited laboratories.

Assist the efforts of other ADLM Divisions that have complementary interests in mass spectrometry, chromatography, and separation sciences, and serve as a resource for other ADLM entities, programs and publications.

Develop and present educational programs on expanding the use of mass spectrometry and separation sciences, including sessions at the ADLM Annual Meeting, Local Section meetings, webcasts, and stand-alone meetings.

Engage thought leaders in mass spectrometry and separation sciences through collaborations with other ADLM groups; national and international laboratory organizations; diagnostics and technology manufacturers; and organizations in related areas.

Join the Mass Spectrometry Division group on ADLM Artery to network, share ideas, research, and best practices with your Division peers. Artery is a private social community accessible only to ADLM members. To enhance your connections with other ADLM members, you can also visit the Open Forum.
