Global Lab Quality Initiative Workshop: Adding Value to Patient Care Using Quality Control

The Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC), in partnership with the Asian and Pacific Federation of Clinical Biochemistry (APFCB), will hold a one-day interactive quality control workshop in Jaipur India. The workshop is designed by laboratory practitioners with the goal of exchanging fundamental quality control techniques to improve the laboratory practices of students and bench technicians in the Asia-Pacific region. The workshop, which includes case studies, will explore the following topics:

  • Value of Lab Medicine Through Quality Systems
  • Method Selection and Validation
  • Best Practices in Quality Control
  • External Quality Assurance
  • Reference Intervals

Members of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine’s (ADLM) GLQI Asia-Pacific Working Group, along with host country clinical chemistry experts, will deliver the workshop.

The workshop is intended for medical technologists, supervisors, directors, in-vitro diagnostic researchers, development scientists, and clinical chemistry students.
