Program Description

The 2019 Professional Practice in Clinical Chemistry has been revamped and redesigned to be a hybrid learning experience which includes online learning materials and a 2 ½ day face to face interactive conference. This popular and interactive learning event has been regarded as the most comprehensive professional course on clinical chemistry and related topics for over 20 years. 

This interactive learning course will be presented in two parts:

Part 1 - Online: Upon completion of registration, all registrants will get immediate access to the online preparation materials. Here, you can view the modules in your own time as you prepare for the onsite event in Dallas. Registrants are highly encouraged to complete/view the preparation materials prior to arriving at the onsite event. These materials will help ensure that you come to the meeting with a basic knowledge of the current theory and practice in clinical chemistry. Find out more about the preparation materials.

Part 2 - Onsite: The second part of the course will be held onsite in Dallas, TX. Be prepared to share insightful information about yourself and the work you are currently performing. The sessions will focus on current principles and practices with an emphasis on case-based examples that highlight 'The Clinical Laboratorian as a Critical Member of the Healthcare Team'. The faculty will present the latest information on quality assurance and quality control practices, evaluating and implementing methodologies and new technologies, interpreting lab results, and advising clinicians on test ordering for efficient and accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
