We are happy to report that 14 new Fellows have joined the Academy so far in 2014. We ended 2013 with a total membership of 548, including 396 Fellows, 113 Emeritus Fellows and 39 Associate Fellows. This compares to a total membership in 2012 of 551. As of March our membership number is at 508 with the decline primarily from non-renewals of Fellows. We expect this number to increase after the AACC Annual Meeting. If you have a colleague who has not renewed please encourage them to renew and continue to enjoy the benefits of Fellowship. We are planning our annual Spring membership drive and hope this will result in additional renewals and new Fellows. My sincere thanks to Drs. Paul Jannetto and Danyel Tacker, fellow members of the Membership Committee, for the thoughtful and timely review of membership applications. We ask you to be an extension of our Committee and encourage qualified AACC members to seek membership in the Academy.
