Kaspar Ratnik has received his primary training in gene technology and biomedicine at the University of Tartu, Estonia. He has been working for almost a decade in the Estonian branch of the Europe largest international medical diagnostics provider the SYNLAB Group with a critical contribution to the development and implementation of numerous laboratory methods according to ISO 15189:2012 standards. His doctoral studies at the University of Tartu and in collaboration with Women’s Clinic, Tartu University Hospital in the field of maternal-fetal medicine are focusing on the improvement of prognostic tools for early detection high-risk women for pregnancy complications. Active both in academic research and in developing novel laboratory tests and services in the private diagnostics sector, Kaspar has been a welcomed speaker in national, but also international forums.
