David Pittman

David PittmanDavid L. Pittman is a Research & Development Manager for the Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Specifically, Mr. Pittman is in charge of the UF Health Pathology Laboratory Endocrine Autoantibodies/Diabetes Central Laboratory.

Mr. Pittman has worked in clinical and research laboratories for more than 40 years. His expertise covers the technical, operational and administrative activities of laboratory services.The Endocrine Autoantibodies/Diabetes Central Laboratory serves both clinical and research missions. The research activities currently include 3 NIH-funded trials: Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet study (Core Laboratory), TEDDY (The Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in Youth) study (Core Laboratory) and the RADIANT (Rare and Atypical DIAbetes NeTwork) study )(Central Laboratory).
