AACC's Fall 2019 Committee Weekend

AACC’s Fall 2019 Committee Weekend brought together key association leadership groups for the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and collaborate on AACC’s strategic priorities. The event focused on AACC’s new Strategic Plan, which was previously unveiled by AACC President Dr. Carmen Wiley at the 71st AACC Annual Scientific Meeting. The new strategic plan focuses on the full scope of professionals, scientists, and researchers in the laboratory medicine environment and how AACC can better assist them in finding clearer, faster, and more precise answers to challenging patient health issues.

Taking place at the Hyatt Regency Dulles in Virginia, the weekend consisted of eight different committees meeting on both Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26. The committees included the AACC Policy & External Affairs, Science & Practice, Education, Publications, and Society for Young Clinical Laboratorians Core Committees, as well as the AACC Academy Council, Clinical Laboratory Scientists Council, and Corporate Advisory Board.
