Dr. Valdes is Senior Vice-Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Louisville (www.valdeslab.com), and is President of PGXL Laboratories, a commercial molecular diagnostics lab. He chaired the AACC’s Personalized Medicine Advisory Task Force from 2007-2009. Dr. Valdes also served as Chair of the Laboratory Medicine Practice Guidelines on Pharmacogenetics in Clinical Practice for the NACB.
