Ambalika S. Tanak

Ambalika S. Tanak received her Master’s degree in 2016 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Biomedical engineering as a research assistant in UT Dallas. Her research focus is on understanding the role of surface modification of nanostructure material interface. Her current research focuses on engineering rapid point-of-care diagnostic device using low volume test samples to improve patient care. Ambalika received the distinguished abstract award as one of the 24 selected out of 887 abstracts at the 70th AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical expo in 2018. She also received first place for the student poster contest held as a part of AACC’s student Research awards contest for her work entitled “Electrochemical detection of Parathyroid hormone as a point-of-care testing device towards clinical applications”.
