Prof. Tomris Ozben, Med. Specialist, Ph.D., D.Sc. is the current Treasurer of IFCC, member of the Board of Directors of the IFCC Foundation for Emerging Nations (FEN) and past-President of BCLF. Over her tenure at Akdeniz University, she has been the Director of Central Laboratory, Akdeniz University Hospital, Vice Rector and Chairman of the Dept. of Clinical Biochemistry. Her interests include identification of early markers for diagnosis and prognosis of cancer, and cardiovascular diseases, oxidative stress and antioxidants, development and validation of new tests, accredition and harmonization, quality control and management, teaching, mentoring, research and laboratory management. She is a member of the editorial and advisory boards of several journals, editor of several books, invited speaker at many congresses and organizing/scientific committee member of several EuroMedLabs, WorldLabs and advanced courses.
