
Dr. Stacy Melanson is Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and has been faculty at Brigham and Women's Hospital since 2004. She completed her residency training in Clinical Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2004. She is a member of the TDM/Toxicology Division of AACC as well as a member of the Toxicology Resource Committee for the College of American Pathologists. She has published numerous articles and given several national presentations in the area of toxicology and assessing medication compliance using laboratory drug testing. In 2013 and 2016 she was awarded an AACC Outstanding Speaker Award for the Clinical Toxicology Certificate Program. She also received the TDM/Toxicology Young Investigator Award in 2010 for her contributions to the field. At the 2018 AACC Annual Scientific Meeting Dr. Melanson gave a symposium entitled "Urine Drug Testing: Debates Over Best Practices to Assess Compliance and Manage the Opioid Crisis" which was well attended and generated great discussion on the benefits and limitations of different matrices for assessing medication compliance.
