Susan Evans, PhD FACB began her career in clinical diagnostics at Baxter Diagnostics where she served in various R&D roles, assuming the leadership role as Dade Behring’s senior vice president of R&D (1994-2000). Dr. Evans has led organizations in the development of IVD diagnostic systems and assays across a wide range of laboratory disciplines. Sue most recently served as vice president, scientific affairs at Beckman Coulter. Previous roles at Beckman Coulter included vice president corporate strategic planning and vice president/general manager of Beckman Coulter Genomics. Dr. Evans is currently the founder/principal of BioDecisions Consulting a boutique consulting practice focuses on strategy development and assessment of growth opportunities. Dr. Evans has been an active AACC member since joining the association is 1981. She served as president of the AACC in 2003 and of the Academy of AACC (NACB) in 2008. She has participated on numerous AACC, IFCC and CLSI Committees and Task Forces.
