Pamela Banning is currently a project manager and healthcare data analyst for 3M Health Information Systems. She worked for fifteen years in laboratory settings as as Medical Technologist, before migrating to the supportive Informations Systems side of the laboratories. She has presented at AACC's Annual Meeting multiple years, as well as Clinical Lab Management Association (CLMA) and American Medical Informatics Association's (AMIA) annual meetings. Publications include terminology posters for CLMA, AMIA, and co-authoring terminology adoption articles in AMIA's Symposiums and the Quality Management in Healthcare Journal.

Awards include New Hampshire Citizen of the Year 1991 (working with Operation Desert Storm reservists' families); PMI Portland Chapter's Project Manager of the Year 2010; and AACC Outstanding Speaker Award (multiple years). Pam was introduced to the vocabulary standards LOINC and SNOMED CT while employed as the Clinical Systems Coordinator at ARUP Laboratories, and has been serving on the Lab LOINC committee since 1996. She works from Portland, Oregon with the Salt Lake City, Utah based office.
