Dr. Kroll is Chief of Laboratory Medicine, Boston Medical Center; Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. He obtained his BS in Chemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park and MD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He trained in Pathology at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore and did a fellowship in Clinical Chemistry at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. He has worked in Clinical Chemistry at the Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health, Clinical Pathology Department, at the Johns Hopkins and at the Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System and served as Professor of Pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. In 2007 he assumed his current position as Chief of Laboratory Medicine at the Boston Medical Center.
