Call for Abstracts

28th AACC International CPOCT Symposium

The organizing committee for the 28th AACC International CPOCT Symposium invites you to submit a poster abstract. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to display their poster(s) during the meeting. In addition, all accepted posters will be published in AACC’s online peer-reviewed publication The Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine (JALM).

You must register for the conference to have your poster displayed. All poster abstract submissions must be made electronically through AACC’s online poster abstract submission form (linked below) to be considered. The submission deadline is July 5, 2022 and authors whose abstracts are accepted will be notified by the end of July, 2022.

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed for clarity, scientific impact, and integrity. In addition, all abstracts should cover topics across the preanalytical phase cycle.

  • The 28th AACC International CPOCT Symposium will be held September 21-23, 2022

Submission Guidelines

  • AACC membership is not required to submit a poster abstract.
  • Submitters may submit multiple poster abstracts for consideration.
  • All abstracts must meet the requirements below and should be submitted using our Word template.

Abstract Requirements

Be sure to use our Word template when creating your abstract.

Title:

  • Titles can be a maximum of 25 words.
  • Use title case — Online tools, such as https://capitalizemytitle.com/, can help ensure this is done correctly.

Author Names:

  • The presenting author must be underlined and listed first, followed by each co-author’s name, separated by commas and with a period at the end.
  • Each author name should include first initial, middle initial (if desired), and last name.
  • Do not include any titles (Dr) or degrees (PhD).
  • The appropriate affiliation superscript should be listed after each author.
  • Example: J. W. Smith1, D. Jones2, N. Wagner1.

Author Affiliations:

  • List the affiliation, with institution and location, for each author.
  • Begin each affiliation with a numbered superscript and separate each with a comma. Do not include a period at the end.
  • Affiliations should be listed in the order of the author names.
  • Where the affiliation are the same for multiple authors, only include a single entry.
  • For US locations, include the 2 letter State code. For non-US locations, include the country
  • Text should be in italics
  • Example: 1Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, 2University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada

Abstract Body:

  • The abstract body can be a maximum of 500 words. Use the word count feature to ensure you stay within this limit.
  • The following sections are required — these are pre-entered in the template:
    • Background
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
  • Do not include any graphics or tables.
