The mission of the Management Sciences and Patient Safety Division (MSPSD) is to advance the leadership and management skills of AACC members and to foster improved patient care through enhanced laboratory quality and error reduction.
This Division provides a forum for discussing issues related to the management of clinical laboratories including finance, marketing, personnel, information systems, government regulations, legal issues, and communications.

AACC Annual Meeting Activities
Each year, MSPSD opens the AACC Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo on Saturday evening with a reception, meeting, and leadership symposium. The latter features a lecture by the recipient of the Division’s Annual Award for Outstanding Contributions to Management Sciences and Patient Safety (announced the previous year). AACC annual meeting attendees should plan on making the MSPSD Reception and Symposium the opening activity on their schedule.
