Our mission is to support and advance the relationship of clinical hematology and coagulation with laboratory medicine and patient care both nationally and internationally. Through collaboration with other professional organizations, we are able to serve as a resource for the clinical and public health communities. Our experts in hematology and coagulation are dedicated to bridging the gap between clinical service and laboratory medicine, helping young professionals to develop in their careers, educating scientists, physicians, and allied health professionals, and growing our community to ensure our objectives continue into the future. Specific objectives include:

  • Promote the concepts and contributions of hematology and coagulation to laboratory medicine and patient care including test utilization and interpretation.
  • Serve as a resource and consultants for other the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) entities, programs, and publications for issues relating to hematology and coagulation. On behalf of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM), enhance ADLM’s role in hematology and coagulation by collaborating with other external professional organizations.
  • Facilitate and foster professional development for division members by developing and presenting educational programs on hematology and coagulation within ADLM.
  • Establish and maintain the Hematology and Coagulation Division as a resource for the clinical and public health communities.
