Stanley F. Lo

Dr. Lo is associate professor pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is also associate director clinical laboratories, director of the reference standards laboratory, technical director of clinical chemistry and point-of-care, and co-director of the biochemical genetics laboratory at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Lo has served the NACB on the membership committee, on the publications committee, and as newsletter editor. In addition to committee service, he participated in guideline development of the point-of-care transcutaneous bilirubin testing and extended newborn screening. He served on the board of directors and as president. In addition to the NACB, Dr. Lo has actively served several other organizations. For the the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC), he has been a workshop coordinator and a symposium coordinator for annual meetings, a member of the meetings management group, a member of the pediatric reference range committee, and a member of the nominating committee. He has also been active on committees of the Midwest Section and the Chicago Section. He has served as a director and secretary/treasurer of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. For the College of American Pathologists, he has been a consultant to the chemistry resource committee and a member of a working group on clinical laboratory harmonization. For the Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute, he has served on subcommittees for the expression of uncertainty measurement, sweat testing, and metrologic traceability. He also served as president of the North American Chinese Clinical Chemistry Association.
