Dr. El-Khoury is assistant professor of laboratory medicine at Yale University and assistant director of the clinical chemistry laboratory at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and a fellow of the National Academy for Clinical Biochemistry. He completed his doctoral training in clinical-bioanalytical chemistry at Cleveland State University and fellowship training in clinical biochemistry at the Cleveland Clinic. He has authored more than 50 publications, book chapters, and abstracts in clinical chemistry journals and conferences on pre-analytical errors, biomarkers of kidney function, clinical enzymology, and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry in the clinical laboratory. Dr. El-Khoury has been an the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) member since 2009 and serves on several committees, including as a board member of the Division Management Group, an officer in the Pediatric and Maternal-Fetal Division, and chair of the Society for Young Clinical Laboratorians’ podcast committee. He also serves as a reviewer for Clinica Chimica Acta, Clinical Biochemistry, and Neuroscience.
