Siemens Healthineers is collaborating with Relaymed to bring labs cloud-based connectivity for the Siemens DCA Vantage analyzer and Clinitek Status point-of-care (POC) instruments. With Relaymed integration, patient test results will be sent automatically from these POC instruments to physician-office electronic health record (EHR) systems. By eliminating the manual input step, Siemens hopes to reduce errors in patient EHRs as well as the potential for revenue loss resulting from unsaved and unbilled tests. “By enabling the delivery of patient results directly to EHR systems, we address a variety of manual-input challenges that trouble our customers, including discrepancies in reporting that ultimately can affect reimbursement,” said Michael Sampson, senior vice president of point-of-care diagnostics for North America at Siemens Healthineers.
