Governance

The Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) exists to proactively meet the needs of its members and to advance the field of laboratory medicine. To these ends, the association operates under a governance structure that encourages robust member involvement and collaboration in the pursuit of The Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine’s (ADLM) strategic priorities.

Under this system, all governance bodies have clear roles and responsibilities, objectives, and well defined reporting relationships. ADLM also holds periodic gatherings of all association committees and leadership to aid in communication, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment across governance groups.

ADLM’s governance framework provides many opportunities for all ADLM members to get involved. Through the graphic below, you can learn more about the committees and councils that you can volunteer for, as well as ADLM’s Board of Directors.

ADLM's Governance Review Advisory Taskforce Report also provides an in-depth look at how the association developed its governance structure, as well as detailed information about major committees and councils.
