AACC’s access program invests in the future of laboratory medicine and supports the research and career development of emerging clinical laboratory professionals. Donations to AACC’s access program are used to support the educational grants and research awards that are vital to funding new research that will lead to improved treatments for patients.
Since 2005 alone, AACC’s access program has supported deserving clinical laboratorians with a wide variety of awards and grants. Below is an overview of our impact through the number of people served by our program and the amount of dollars awarded.
- More than $525,000 has been awarded in travel grants
- More than 200 International Travel Grantees have attended AACC’s Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo
- More than 45 young scientists have received SYCL travel grants
- 120 membership grants have been provided to scientists in 44 countries
Your contributions provide the funds necessary to make a real, long-term difference in the field of laboratory medicine and have a positive impact in the careers of emerging clinical laboratorians. In order to support the upcoming 2015 grant program, donations must be made by December 31, 2014.
