This CD in this series from the Association of Clinical Biochemists consists of two main clinical cases and six short topics covering the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and aspects of management of its acute and chronic manifestations. The format, as for previous CDs in this series is interactive, and performance is monitored by the use of scored assessments that occur throughout the cases. The reference section gives further information on topics encountered and is accessed by 'hot words' in the text of the cases, or alternatively directly through its tree structure, according to the student's choice. This CD contains a wealth of information on this very common disease, presented in a lively manner relevant to everyday clinical practice.
