Dr. Joe El-Khoury is Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine at Yale University and Assistant Director of the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. El-Khoury is board certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and a fellow of the National Academy for Clinical Biochemistry. He completed his fellowship training in Clinical Biochemistry at Cleveland Clinic, PhD training in Clinical-Bioanalytical Chemistry at Cleveland State University and his undergraduate training in Chemistry at the American University of Beirut. He has authored over 50 publications, book chapters and abstracts in clinical chemistry journals and conferences on pre-analytical errors, biomarkers of kidney function, clinical enzymology, and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry in the clinical laboratory. Dr. El-Khoury has been an AACC member since 2009 and serves as an officer on several committees, including the Division Management Group and SYCL 360. He also serves as a reviewer for Clinica Chimica Acta, Clinical Biochemistry and Neuroscience.
