Corinne Fantz is an Associate Professor of Pathology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University, Co- Director of the Core Laboratories at Emory University Hospitals, Medical Director of Support Services and Director of Point of Care Testing for Emory Healthcare. She is also the Co-Director of Emory’s ComACC accredited Clinical Chemistry Postdoctoral Fellowship program.  Dr. Fantz received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of South Carolina and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical chemistry at Washington University, St. Louis. She has been an active member of AACC since 1998. Dr. Fantz is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and a Fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemists.  She currently serves on the boards of ABCC, ComACC, NRCC and she recently joined the editorial board of Clinical Laboratory News Patient Safety Focus.  Her research interests are in quality measures/process improvement for laboratories and as well as evidence based outcome studies for point of care testing in a variety of clinical situations.
