AACC serves a diverse worldwide community of clinical laboratory professionals, with individuals from 110 countries comprising about 30% of our membership.
The association has several international programs that provide our members around the world with the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to adapt to the changing healthcare environment and do what they do best: provide fast, precise answers to challenging patient health problems.
Through these initiatives, AACC also seeks to promote collaboration among laboratorians on a global scale to improve clinical laboratory testing and healthcare worldwide.
Every year, AACC offers International Travel Grants and Student Travel Grants to clinical laboratory professionals and trainees from around the world to help offset the cost of attending the 68th AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo.
These grants range from $250 to $2,500 and include free AACC annual meeting registration.
Emerging Countries Program
AACC’s Emerging Countries Program fosters a global exchange of clinical testing best practices. Since launching its pilot initiative in Latin America in 2010, it has held several successful workshops on quality control in countries such as Ecuador, Peru, and Paraguay in collaboration with each host country’s clinical chemistry association.
The Clinical Chemistry Trainee Council
This free program provides residents and fellows in laboratory medicine with complimentary educational materials and interactive tools to help guide them toward a successful career.
Nearly all Trainee Council content is available in multiple languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, and Japanese.
