George Brotea, PhD

Meet the 2006 winner of the PMF Division award!-- Dr George Brotea

Dr. George Brotea obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Chemistry from University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada and since graduation has held positions in clinical biochemistry at the Health Sciences center in St Johns, Newfoundland, and in University of Windsor. In 1995 he joined Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., a Johnson &Johnson Company in Rochester, New York and is currently Principal Scientist, New Product Development Quality Assurance.

George has been a member of the national the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) and, the Pediatric and Maternal-Fetal Division where he served as, secretary, chair-elect, chair. Most importantly, George facilitated cooperation between the PMF division and other groups such as the Mexican Association of Clinical Biochemistry, and the International Association of Pediatric Laboratory Medicine.
