A Prescription for a Strong Laboratory Administrator-Medical Director Working Relationship

The 2018 SYCL Workshop will explore hot topics in clinical laboratory leadership, including strategies to optimize the Administrator-Medical Director working relationship and navigate the challenges of health system expansion while delivering high quality laboratory services. The half-day session will focus on how to foster collaboration between laboratory professionals, demonstrate the value of laboratorians to hospital administration, and make the financial case for investment in laboratory resources. Case studies will present the challenges and successes of co-managing laboratory staff and ways to standardize laboratory services across a multi-hospital network.
