Qing Meng2021 the Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine Award for Outstanding Contributions to Clinical Chemistry in a Selected Area of Research

Qing H. Meng, PhD, DABCC, FAACC is the section chief and professor of clinical chemistry in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also serves as director of clinical chemistry postdoctoral training program at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He served as chair of the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, chair of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) Nutrition Division, and chair of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) Texas Section. Currently, he is chair of ADLM Tumor Markers and Cancer Diagnostics, the Academy Council member and co-chair of IFCC Task Force on Global Lab Quality. His research interest focuses on tumor biology, tumor biomarkers, liquid biopsy, and cancer diagnostics. He is associate editor of Clinical Biochemistry and editor of Clinical Pathology section of Annals of Medicine. Dr. Meng has received several national research grants and a number of ADLM and Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists awards including the research excellence award and outstanding service to the profession of clinical biochemistry.
