AACC Academy Elections

Academy fellows are invited to nominate candidates for the 2018 AACC Academy ballot. The following leadership positions need to be filled in this year's election:

  • President-Elect 2019 (to serve as President 2020-2021 and Past-President 2021-2022)
  • Secretary/Treasurer: Extended three-year term (2019-2022)
  • Council Members: Extended three-year term (2019-2022) - Two positions
  • Nominating Committee Members: Extended two-year term (2019-2021) - Three positions

Please note—2019 terms will extend until July 26, 2020, in alignment with the AACC governance transition. Subsequent terms will begin and end with the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting. Any multi-year terms spanning the 2019-2020 transition will be extended to establish the new cycle.

Please carefully consider potential leaders who you feel will enrich the Academy and provide the necessary leadership to advance the purpose and mission of the AACC Academy. Self-nominations are accepted.

Submit your suggestions to the Academy office by email to academy@aacc.org. For each person you nominate, please include a brief biography (current CV is also acceptable) that highlights his/her professional accomplishments.

Nominations should be received by February 9, 2018. The Nominating Committee will select a list of candidates for the ballot from those who have been nominated. Your help in this important activity is critical to the continued success of the AACC Academy and is much appreciated.

AACC Academy Designation

Fellows of AACC Academy use the designation of FAACC. This designation is equivalent to FACB, the previous designation used by fellows of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, which became AACC Academy in 2016.
