Federal Advisory Panel

The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendents of 1988 (CLIA'88) created a federal advisory committee to assist the government agencies--CMS, CDC and FDA--responsible for implementing the statute.  This panel, the  Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (CLIAC) , typically meets twice a year to discuss ongoing issues of affecting the regulation.  Information on past meetings and future meetings date are available on the CLIAC Web site.
