Dr. Bertholf is professor of pathology in the University of Florida College of Medicine, and is Director of Clinical Chemistry, Toxicology, and Point of Care Testing at Shands Jacksonville Hospital. He currently chairs the Organizing Committee for the biannual AACC Professional Practice in Clinical Chemistry Review Course.
Dr. Bertholf has lectured and published on a wide variety of topics, including laboratory statistics, heavy metal neurotoxicity, thyroid function, immunochemical methods, research ethics, medical errors, chromatographic applications in clinical chemistry and toxicology, and urine drug testing in pain management.
