Automated Molecular Diagnostics Analyzer

The GeneXpert Infinity-48 system is a fully automated, random-access system designed for the management of the entire molecular testing workflow. The self-contained platform combines onboard sample preparation with real-time PCR amplification and detection. The system uses robotic cartridge handling, a full-touch screen menu, and the Xpertise software package to manage sample data, cartridge loading and unloading, and reporting of test results. The Infinity-48 can be configured with 16, 24, 32, 40, or 48 modules. Any system can be upgraded with additional modules in blocks of eight.

 Virtual Microscopy System

The BLISS HD is a high definition virtual microscopy system that incorporates a dedicated microscope stand, scanning instrumentation, and special software that runs on the Windows Vista operating system. Its Virtual Z feature allows the user to capture and display multiple Z focal plans for true virtual microscopy applications. It offers multiple-magnification scanning as well as high-resolution, oil-immersion scans. The workstation also comes equipped with the SlideTray digital slide organizer, WebSlide Enterprise viewer and database software, storage for 750–1000 slides, and dual, 20-inch color monitors.

Middleware with Archiving

Instrument Manager v8.07 includes a new archiving feature, a redesigned rules interface, and enhanced backup capability. Archived data can be sorted, cataloged, and stored as PDF files for offline, long-term storage. In addition, a redesigned graphic user interface for the rules engine allows multiple users to create and edit rules by free-text typing or by drag-and-drop from a tool box. The software also allows users to build test suites of data, save them, run them through the rules, and save the output to help with regulatory compliance.

Hemostasis Analyzer

The ACL TOP 500 CTS hemostasis analyzer features closed-tube sampling, as well as automated cap piercing and a throughput of 240 tests per hour, with PT reported in under 3 minutes. The instrument provides clotting, chromogenic, and immunoturbidimetric testing and a complete menu of routine and specialty assays. LED-based clot detection allows the analyzer to read clot-based assays at 671nm to reduce effects of pre-analytical variables. Results are standardized across the TOP family of analyzers, and results are globally harmonized with the ACL ELITE series and the ACL Classic series.

Reagents for Tricyclic Antidepressants

The DRI Tricyclics Serum Tox Assay includes ready-to-use, liquid reagents for the qualitative and semi-qualitative determination of tricyclic antidepressants in human serum, plasma, or urine. The assay features onboard reagent stability of 60 days on the LX and DxC platforms, and 30 days on the CX platform.
