ARCHITECT® ci4100ä*

The Abbott ARCHITECT® ci4100 system delivers integration of clinical chemistry and immunoassay for low-to-mid-volume laboratories with productivity enhancements normally reserved for larger labs. The system employs identical technologies, reagents, and software used on the ARCHITECT ci8200® and ci16200™ immunochemistry systems to provide consistent performance and comparable results. The ci4100 uses the innovative Robotic Sample Handler design to deliver consistent stat turnaround times while processing up to 800 chemistry tests and up to 100 immunoassay tests per hour. Abbott MULTIGENT Creatinine (Enzymatic)

The MULTIGENT Creatinine (Enzymatic) assay uses an enzymatic method that is sensitive and specific for creatinine and is not affected by endogenous substances, such as ketoacids, cephalosporins, and bilirubin that interfere with Jaffe methods. The MULTIGENT Creatinine (Enzymatic) assay is standardized to IDMS traceable NIST SRM 967 following the NKDEP, IFCC, and EC4 recommendation promoting the use of commutable reference material. Standardization and accuracy of serum creatinine measurements are critical for the estimation of renal function using the glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) equation. *Pending FDA clearance. Cardiac 3-in-1 (TnI, CKMB, MYO) Whole Blood/Serum Rapid Test

This rapid, qualitative immunoassay test is for professional use to aid in the diagnosis of myocardial infarctions at POC facilities, emergency department, or other hospital settings. The test operates with four drops of straight human whole blood or serum, and the results can be read within 10–15 minutes. Additional reagents are not required. It may be used along with a reader to provide a quantitative measurement of troponin I, CK-MB, and myoglobin. *Pending FDA clearance.



The Alfred 60 is a fully automated system for urine culture that offers rapid results and reliability in sample identification and standardized working protocols. The patented technology allows detection of intense bacteria replication activity and plotting of the specific growth curves in real time, indicating the quantitative value expressed in CFU/mL. Strongly positive samples are flagged after only 45 minutes from the start of the analysis, and the positivity threshold can be customized according to the lab’s needs. A user can simultaneously perform the residual antimicrobial activity test and the culture test to avoid false-negative results caused by substances with antibacterial properties.

CVDefine is a unique new marker for early detection of harmful lesions caused by immunological response and inflammation in the artery wall. CVDefine measures antibodies against phosphorylcholine (PC), one of the major epitopes on oxLDL. These antibodies are common from an early age and have an important role in development of cardiovascular disease. Low IgM anti-PC Ievels indicate an increased risk for cardiovascular disease, while high anti-PC levels predict a favorable outcome in atherosclerosis development in hypertensive patients. CVDefine provides an easy-to-use standard ELISA procedure for quantitative analysis of PC antibodies in human serum and plasma.



The chemotherapeutic agent 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is a broad-spectrum drug used in treatment of colorectal, gastric, pancreatic, head, neck, breast, ovarian, and cervical cancers. Many patients are genetically predisposed to adverse reactions to 5-FU. Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) is responsible for more than 80% of the drug metabolism, and its polymorphisms are a potential cause of 5-FU chemotoxicity. Thymidine synthase (TS) is the target for 5-FU and may have a prognostic role in therapy outcome. The INFINITI 5-FU assay, automated on the Load N Go INFINITI Analyzer, provides comprehensive analysis of DPD, MTHFR and TS genetic variants to predict and to help prevent 5-FU-related adverse events.



The INFINITI HPV QUAD assay simultaneously detects 15 HPV types in a single patient sample (16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 45, 68, 39, 56, 58, 52, 59, 51, 6, and 11) and processes four patient samples on one BioFilmChip™ Microarray. HPV types 16, 18, 33, 45 and 59 have been associated with greater risk for developing both squamous and adenocarcinoma cervical cancers. The new Stat Fax 4500 is an economical chemistry analyzer with the same high-quality, six-filter optical system used in the Stat Fax 1904 model, with updated electronics and a large, touch-screen user interface. This versatile open system features calculations using factor, single calibrator, or multiple calibrators for kinetic and endpoint assays. It prints results on the internal thermal printer or outputs results to a PC to create custom-formatted reports.

Liquid Stable(LS) 2-Part Homocysteine reagent

The Liquid Stable(LS) 2-Part Homocysteine reagent is intended for in vitro quantitative determination of total homocysteine in plasma and serum (EDTA , Li-Hep, serum, and SST). The versatile assay employs two ready-to-use reagents and two calibrators and is standardized to the NIST SRM 1955 Homocysteine Reference Material. A key feature of the assay is the onboard reagent stability for 30 days that ensures a typical calibration stability of 14 days. The LS 2-Part assay demonstrates excellent correlation with both other immunoassays and HPLC methods. The test has a high throughput of up to 750 tests/hr and clinical protocols are available for many of the commonly used clinical chemistry analyzers.

The DIA HE1 fully human IgE antibody is produced in vitro from a monoclonal hybridoma. This unique source guarantees high batch-to-batch consistency and freedom from contamination by other immunoglobulin isotypes. Suitable as a standard in IgE quantifying assays, the DIA HE1 antibody is comparable to the WHO standard 75/502 for IgE. Other applications include immunochemistry and cellular immunology research.

MBL Oligomer ELISA kit

A key test in the assessment of immune deficiencies, the Mannan-binding Lectin (MBL) assay is an important element in the innate immune defense. MBL deficiency is associated with increased susceptibility to infection. With more than 12% of the average population being MBL deficient, testing is a key parameter in the diagnosis of immune deficiencies. However, MBL deficiency is under-diagnosed because it is neglected in practice parameters. The MBL Oligomer ELISA Kit (KIT 029) is used in routine diagnostics in the EU, and it is the most cited assay for MBL determination worldwide.
