Dr. Lepage is the Head of the Biochemical Genetics laboratory at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa (since 1998). She is also the laboratory director for a community Hospital laboratory (Hawkesbury General Hospital) and a laboratory consultant for clinical Biochemical Genetics for a teaching Hospital (Montfort Hospital), both located in Eastern Ontario. She is currently an associate professor in the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She is a fellow from the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and a fellow from the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists.
Her involvement in Clinical Biochemistry in Canada and in the US is many folds as she sits on several committees: past-Chair of the pediatric, maternal-fetal division of the AACC (term ended in December 2011), past-Chair of the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry board (Term ended in June 2011), chair of the Ontario external quality assurance program for the Endocrinology- immunology-prenatal screening committee (2009-2012). She is also a member of the joint 2013 AACC/CSCC annual meeting organizing committee, as one of the two workshop and short course coordinators.
Current areas of clinical and research interests are in pediatric reference intervals and in prenatal screening for chromosomal abnormalities and neural tube defects. In her spare time, she enjoys alpine skiing, mountain biking and gardening.
