Thank you for your very inspiring interview. You are a very talented scientist and artist! From a clinical standpoint, what do you think about the utility of ApoB or ApoB/A ratio compared to LDL measurement?

Thank you very much for your kind words. I believe that apo B has been unfairly treated and has added advantage to LDL. It is hard to make such a claim for apo AI; its predictive value is similar to that of HDL, which is now measured precisely with current assays. A ratio of apo B/apo AI or apo B/HDL is useful. However, the question is whether it adds anything to non-HDL cholesterol. Our data does not show added value for risk prediction in women.
