Dr. Abraham is presently a consultant in the Dept of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She also holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine and Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in the College of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. She directs the Cellular and Molecular Immunology Laboratory within the Clinical Immunology Labs in the Department of Lab Medicine and Pathology. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry followed by a Master of Science degree specializing in Microbiology. Subsequently, she received her Ph.D. in Immunology from the National Institute of Immunology in New Delhi, India. After completing 6 years of postdoctoral training in Basic Immunology and Clinical Chemistry at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, she joined the faculty in the Division of Hematology, Mayo Clinic in 2002. She moved to the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology also at the Mayo Clinic in 2005. Her bibliography is in the fields of basic and clinical immunology. She received the George Grannis Award from NACB in 2003 and the AACC Young Investigator Award in 2006.
