Lori J. Sokoll, Ph.D.
Lori J. Sokoll, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Pathology in The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and has secondary appointments in Oncology and Urology. She is Associate Director of Clinical Chemistry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Assistant Director of the Johns Hopkins Medical Laboratories Clinical Chemistry Reference Laboratory. Dr. Sokoll received her A.B. degree from Cornell University. She has a Master of Clinical Chemistry degree from Hahnemann University and received a Ph.D. in Human Nutrition Sciences from Tufts University. She completed a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Chemistry at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.
Her research focuses on the development, measurement, and clinical applications of cancer biomarkers and she is a co-investigator of the NCI Early Detection Research Network Biomarkers Reference Lab and Prostate Cancer Clinical Epidemiology and Validation Center at Johns Hopkins. She is the author or co-author of over 100 scientific articles and book chapters.
